How to find your way around the new Rubicon

bike_intro

We’ve redesigned theRubicon as a portal for anyone connected with The Salvation Army or interested in its mission.

On the new site you’ll find…

Five main sections:

  • Education - an academic depository of research about The Salvation Army
  • the Rubi-blog - fifteen columnists from around the world; a new column every day
  • Think - provocative and thoughtful essays and feature articles
  • the Match Factory - the international social justice forum
  • Ephemera - a general category with items from profiles to film, music and book reviews

Other features include:

  • two search fields - one for Google and the other for searching theRubicon
  • a box with four feeds - updates from key blogs where we can find the “real” conversation about TSA, a news feed of media stories about TSA from around the world, a feed of news releases from IHQ and a list of newly posted videos that feature TSA. This box, with all four feed panels, is automatically updated.
  • Dispo - a section of links to SA operations worldwide
  • Lives Lived - obituaries and tributes, especially for those who served in or with TSA
  • Fellow Travellers - links we like
  • Media - video, audio and slideshow material
  • Areopagus - audio and video offerings, including a link to our podcast on iTunes
  • Quotes - this rotating feature on the home page is full of wisdom, much of it from SA sources

More about the new Rubicon is coming soon… but for now, explore, comment and perhaps even send us material we can use on the site.

Take a moment to introduce theRubicon to some of your friends. Send them the link to the site.
