OK, maybe it’s not that bad, but many of us “recovering bandsmen” (thanks Geoff Ryan for the term) have realized that although Army banding is admirable and sometimes rewarding, when it comes to real Christian service, banding is merely “tinkling brass and a crashing cymbal.”
